Summer Housing Launch Portal

On-campus summer housing is only available to people who are eligible. There are a variety of eligibility criteria. When you answer the below questions, this portal will give you a preliminary result on whether you are eligible and direct you to next steps. Choose the options that describe your situation best. If your position provides on-campus housing as compensation, notify your supervisor of your intent to live on campus. They will make arrangements with Residential Life. You are not required to request Summer Housing separately. Residential Life will provide information about your housing assignment in April. Please contact your supervisor for more information.

Students who work on-campus jobs that do not provide housing as compensation may live on campus between May 28 and August 10 in Summer Intern Housing, which is organized by Conference and Event Services. Sign up for Summer Intern Housing.

As a BEST or BLAST program participant, you will receive all information and instructions via the Applicant Status Portal and your Summer Checklist, which opens June 3.

You are eligible for on campus housing. In March or April, your program will notify Residential Life and Learning of your participation. You will then receive an email with instructions for signing up for housing. Please check your email for instructions on how to receive your summer housing assignment. If you have questions, please contact the director of your program.

Students who are conducting approved research in-person during the summer may be eligible for summer housing on campus. Contact the Dean of Students Office at 617-627-3158 or DeanofStudents@tufts.edu to see if your program qualifies.

Those who have off-campus jobs, internships, fellowships, and research positions in the Boston area may live on campus between May 28 and August 10 in Summer Intern Housing, which is organized by Conference and Event Services. Sign up for Summer Intern Housing

Tufts students enrolled in at least one in person summer course are eligible to live on campus during the session their course is scheduled.

If you have already enrolled in your courses, complete the Summer Housing Request form for Current Tufts Students. Please allow 24 hours after registering for your courses in SIS before completing the Housing Request form.

Login using your Tufts username and password to request on campus housing while you take courses at Tufts this summer.

It looks like your situation does not fit with the eligibility criteria for summer housing. But we know that sometimes unique situations arise, so we are happy to discuss your circumstances directly. Please contact the Dean of Students Office at 617-627-3158 or DeanofStudents@tufts.edu if you would like to explore your eligibility for on campus housing. If you choose to write to us, please include your full name and student ID number in the email and title it “Summer Housing Eligibility Inquiry” to help our team respond promptly.

The Dean of Students Office will notify the Office of Residential Life of your eligibility within ten business days of your approval. When they do, you will receive an email with instructions for signing up for housing. Please check your email for instructions. If you have questions, please contact the Dean of Students Office at 617-627-3158 or DeanofStudents@tufts.edu.

Exceptional summer housing is for students who are unable to leave campus over the summer due to exceptional circumstances. Students may request exceptional housing from the Dean of Students Office by completing the Summer Exceptional Housing Request. You will be contacted within ten business days after your submission. If you have questions, please contact the Dean of Students Office at 617-627-3158 or DeanofStudents@tufts.edu.

After you are accepted into a pre-college program, University College will be in touch with you to provide further information about housing. There is no need to sign up for housing separately via this portal. If you have any questions about your summer housing, contact University College at 617-627-2926 or precollege@tufts.edu.

Individuals who are enrolled in professional and continuing education courses, SMFA continuing education courses, or OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute courses are eligible to sign up for Summer Intern Housing via Conference and Event Services. Sign up for Summer Intern Housing.
